Services
I offer workshops, trainings, lectures and individual instruction (either in person or through Skype or Zoom) in buddhist practices and teachings. While some workshops, classes and trainings are fee-based, many of my services are dana-based.
I am also available for officiating major life events, such as weddings, baby-welcoming and memorial services depending on scheduling.

Yoga Asana
For me, yoga-asana practice is simply another form of mindfulness practice; not merely preparation for meditation, nor simply a complement to meditation, practiced in this way, Mindfulness Yoga is a body-centered, movement-based mindfulness meditation practice based upon the Buddha's teaching on the four foundations of mindfulness. I offer an eclectic, flow-based, but sensitive to alignment approach influenced by my study of varied styles and lineages. The yoga mat becomes a safe container or laboratory for self-exploration, cultivating greater insight into conditioned patterns of reactivity in order to make conscious choices and cultivate creative responses to life's challenges and joys.
This offering is available in person here in Tucson, or via Skype or Zoom for individuals and small groups. Contact me for further information.

Meditation
I've studied and practiced many forms of meditation and work with each student to find which techniques seem best suited to one's life situation. The basic core practice is satipatthana (four foundations of mindfulness) which includes focused attention and inquiry into body (breath, posture, activities of the body, parts and elements of the body and it's dissolution); feelings (the felt-sense of experience, whether pleasant, unpleasant or neutral); mental formations (all other mental activities such as perception, emotion, thought) and dhammas (investigation into phenomena).
Along with satipatthana, other key practices include the four immeasurables (kindness; compassion; selfless joy and equanimity); lojong (mind training); tonglen (the exchanging of self and other); naikan (the practice of gratitude) and more.
This service makes meditation available to you wherever you are via Skype or Zoom for individuals and small groups. Ask about my unique Kalyana Mitta Mentorship Program.

Life Events
One of the most joyful opportunities offered me is the opportunity to help people mark their major life events. Please feel free to contact me regarding your wedding, commitment ceremony, domestic partnership ritual, renewal of vows, baby welcoming or memorial service.
My thought about such life-marking rituals is that they are expressions of personal experience in a social context. The ceremonies are not some magical tool to create some new reality as much as a personal expression of meaning and life significance within supportive and loving community.
I do not follow any set form for ceremonies, but rather see our work together as a collaborative effort to enable you to make your event memorable and filled with deep personal meaning.
